SWITZERLAND OVERVIEW 

Switzerland is comparatively very small country located in European continent surrounded by four countries Germany, France, Italy and Austria with a population of 7.6 million people.  It just has the area of around 41000 square kilometers but half of southern Switzerland is denser with mountains while north part has more people density. Matter horn, Alps and dufourspitze are the famous mountains which are running over Switzerland.  

Economy of the country is mainly depending on three cities Basel, Geneva and particularly Zurich which is the capital of Switzerland. Economy is more stable than any other country in the world. It is the second highest economy in European continent after Ireland. It was the wealthiest country during the 20^th century. Switzerland is a multilingual country and most spoken four languages are announced as national languages respectively German, French, Romanish and Italian languages.  

Switzerland has been maintaining its name as a neutral country since 18^th century. There is no record of involving in war. Geneva and Zurich holds the first and second rank for the quality life around the world. It hosts more no. of organizations such as World trade organization, Red Cross and one centre of UNO’s European office. But it has not been a member of European Union.  

Because of its neutrality, there are numeral institutions located in Switzerland. Lausanne hosts the international Olympic committee. Red Cross was started in 18^th century and still runs at Switzerland as a head office. The world’s second largest United Nation’s centre is Geneva after New York. Since it is a mountainous and cold country, most enjoyable sport is mountaineering. Another popular sport is ice hockey.  

The normal climate is temperate and snow. It receives a significant income from tourism. It has such a beautiful locations for traveling like mountains, waterfalls etc. the most tourist spots are Geneva, Zurich and Bernese Alps
