The largest city and the capital of Ukraine is Kiev.
The history of Ukraine began with the East Slavs, who occupied the territory somewhere around the 9th century. From this time period through part of the 12th century, the state of Kievan Rus’ was formed, but disintegrated by the end of the 12th century. From that time forward the country was ruled by various empires, invaded by a host of crusaders, and inhabited by numerous civilizations. Today Ukraine continues to grow in its political and humanitarian areas, while continuing to transition into a market economy.

Having only 12.1% of their entire population using the web, the people of Ukraine do not often use the internet to transact business and communicate with other people. But this 12% is already a good rate considering that in the year 2000, only 0.4% of their entire population knew about the web. that is a very low rate in this technological age. But they reached more than 11% in 2006. This is a good climb in the ratings as it shows that more and more people are becoming aware of what you can get from the web. Ukraine will continue to grow in the coming years as more infrastructures are being arranged to better the internet facilities and services. In the past, the rates of internet services were steep, bringing people to shun the idea of subscribing. Furthermore the internet facilities were never expanded. However in the present, many projects are being done for the expansion of the internet infrastructures and the rates for broadband services are becoming more competitive. More and more people are now able to afford services, making more people use the internet. The people of Ukraine now use the web more when transacting business and communicating with other people. They are more well versed with the way the web works and how they can use the internet for their advantage. Both men and women are now becoming more internet savvy, which is a great advantage in this age of technology.
